It was an usual day, i was google'ng for any happening events on-going in Mumbai. I read about the photography and art exhibition being held in Jehangir Art Gallery and Max Mueller Bhavan in Kala Ghoda.
These master pieces were presented by Ata Mohammadi, Babak Kazemi, Mahdieh Mirhabibi and few others.
There were some wonderful paintings in Jehangir Art Gallery, I wished to capture but i was not allowed to carry my camera in.
It was all, I started to Marine Drive know as the queens necklace.
Mumbai being one of the oldest city in India, has rich culture of architecture influenced by Mughals, Portuguese, Dutch and British.
As I was moving on, few of the buildings spoke to take a pic of it.
Moving ahead, I reached Marine Drive.
A wonderful place, lively than the queens necklace!

Pic's above and below are the 2 pieces of the necklace.
I feel, it should not have been named as Marine Drive, instead should have called as Marine Walk.
If you drive on this shore, its just another sea side driving. Only if you walk, you get to know the life in this so called queens necklace.
I was moving on the foothpaths watching people. Just were I sat and took a pic of the other part of the marine drive called as Malabar hills. Its one of the VIP residential areas in Mumbai. The prices of apartments are as high as Rs.1,35,000 per sq ft, making it one of the most expensive neighborhoods to stay in the world.
Moving back, to common man's life.
You can feel uniform reverberation of sounds on both the side, the Sea that has its own uniform tune and the busy traffic of Crowded Mumbai is not less in competition with the Sea.
Everyone coming here accompanies these silent stones which are actively present but no one bothers even to look at it, no one communicates with it but unknowingly they share their life with those dumb creation.
There are many stone benches made on the sides of the foothpath which are very unique. It feels good to sit on it and watch the pedestrians move.
I used one.
There was an empty seat beside me. An Old couple came and occupied that empty space of my life, i was happy and attached looking at them. They were very calm, pleasant. They became a part of my life for a moment. Well, its just few moments are small and few big.
After minutes they started. Those seats beside became empty again.
I captured their moving pic and to my wonder a bright light appeared and those 2 were replaced by other 2.
Someone has said it true, that "When someone leaves, it's because someone else is about to arrive"
It was time for me to leave as well!
Thanks all for taking your moment of life to read this long story. LOL.
I hate reading.

This place is located in the heart of the Crowded Metro. This is an exceptional place for the art lovers and provides a good platform for art.
Every year during the month of Jan/Feb an art festival is being organised by the Kala Ghoda association, where people from all parts of our country come up with their culture defined. Super event for an art lover!
The photography exhibition was in Max Muller Bhavan. Pictures were on the consequences faced by a COMMON MAN after the WAR, here it was about IRAN and IRAQ. The pictures depict, and also the reality is, how only the COMMON MAN suffers.

Wonder how much risks they might have taken with their lives to unveil the truth to the world.
Below are few of the pics i have grabbed out from the exhibition.
A NGO from Malaysia has thought them to design these pretty dolls.
Look how pretty they have designed the dolls. Feeling pity on them, as their freedom is only upto the dolls and not with their lives.
Its their imprisoned lives given by the society, making them to fulfill their desires through these dolls.
It looks like a summit. Think! none of them have suffered!
Same silence, which were in the pictures were also reflected out in the gallery.
Some wonderful pictures which are not related but displayed in between.
I thought, why these?
It took more than 45 minutes to think, why these?
There was a message in each of these pictures. I feel sorry for not have taken a close shot of all these.
Out of them I liked 3 of the small ones.
One picture of a tea bag with tablets in it, where it expressed Depression. On the other hand the adjacent one shows full hope, where a broken stone is being stitched to make it one. Last one about the knife, used for killing is being used as the pillar for the shelter.
Amazing, I thought! Photographer was actually highlighting of IRAQ and IRAN through these 4 pictures.
He just painted them, big one being the past , then he showed the pain/depression among. Then it was the two broken Iran and Iraq and at last the weapon that can be used as a pillar for the shelter.
Awesome! Pictures explain life better than the words!
Not a toy from funschool my friend! A left over of the war.

The last one, expressed by a Ehsan Rasoulof.

Awesome blog, would love to see more :)
Cheers!
Excellent Description Nikhil...Lived your experience completely!! Hope we also go along together one day!!
Perfect talk of the walk... Life is so much of discrete things, still we tend to make it big and large... It's the drops that make the water and the river, sea and oceans.. but we tend to forget the minute elements of hydrogen and oxygen which forms the compound.i loved your microscopic level of observation on the war photographs..keep going.. best of luck bro...
